About

***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ***Every piece of work posted (at least unless I make a “Submit Your Work” page) on this blog is 100% thought of, written by, and usually about, me. Nothing is plagiarized or taken from another person, site, book, etc. Therefore, I, Jon Wolotsky, hold the rights to every piece of work presented on this website. Unless I am directly credited as the author of these pieces, they may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or sold by anyone other than myself. Doing so will result in serious consequences.

Welcome to Jon’s Journal, the quaint and quiet coffee shop located in the depths of the right side of my mind. This is a blog dedicated to various posts chronicling my present, reflecting my past, and daydreaming about my future in the forms of poetry, short stories & novel excerpts, lyrics (without the music, but working on adding full songs in the future,) and my portfolio of paid blog articles written on the topics of drug addiction and recovery/sobriety.

If you’re curious about who I am, well, you’ll get to know me quite well by reading my entries, but I’m just a 24 year-old struggling writer, wannabe musician, and dog enthusiast who has always wanted to run my very own blog and, to be completely honest, become successful doing so. For years, I drove myself crazy trying to come up with a fresh, unique idea that would give my blog the attention I craved, and then recently it hit me…It was right under my nose this whole time. I have piles of journals, both literally and figuratively stored in my computer or poems, stories, etc. that are just waiting to be read. And with that thought, this blog site was born.

This is really just a space where I can take a break from the daily woes of life as a 20-something-year old homosexual man, recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, and navigating this wonderful and sometimes agonizingly tumultuous ride we call life.

I strive to entertain, educate, and even learn from my writing as well as hopefully help anyone I can through my words. It is truly the only effective way I can refrain from bottling up my emotions. By letting them free on the lines of the paper (or in this case the virtual paper,) I can go to bed every night feeling freer and lighter.

At some point, I’d like to start taking suggestions for things to write about and maybe even publishing others’ posts detailing struggles in their life with love, family, addiction, or anything you could possibly want to just get out of your head and let free into the webisphere.

If you do have any suggestions, inquiries, are interested in publishing your own work, or maybe just need some advice or somebody to talk to, you can reach me 24/7 by emailing me. Simply click “Contact” at the top of the page, enter your name and email address, and I will try and get back to you within 24 hours.

Thanks for checking it out and I truly hope you enjoy it!
